Right Start Your Day With Milo PROTOMALT

ADVERTORIAL :)

Heya Folks! How are you doing this morning? My morning is rather calm, as it's the school holidays and I don't need to do much 'chauffering' to and fro to the kids' THREE different schools. But however, with the four superheroes being home 'altogether' in the cool morning, it posed a different challenge to Mom! Four growing boys to 'manage' and 'entertain' hahaha. Am I up to the job? *wink* I can't very well say NO now can I? =)

These boys I'm telling you... gets really really busy during the holidays. They will go from one activity to another in a seamless fashion, interrupted only by me calling them during mealtimes. Morning walk around the neighbourhood linear parks, running and jumping around on the little patch of grass within our house compound, and even there are games devised by the elder two to be played in the house itself. Thank goodness the indoor games played does include some 'quiet' time like reading, art work, computer games and Snake & Ladder, Monopoly and Ludo. Wahhh, mommy is happy the children do like to play board (bored) games hehheh.

The kiddos in one of the weekly activities they do.

With soooo much energy being used by the bunnies, I had to make sure that they start the day right, and what's the perennial favourite beverage by many young Malaysians? Yeppp, MILO! Well, MILO is not just any chocolate malt drink, it contains PROTOMALT, the energy within MILO. PROTOMALT is made from malted barley, which contains all the good nutrients to keep the kiddos going all day! PROTOMALT contains the excellent nutrients naturally present in barley grains. Barley has complex carbohydrates, which is indeed a preferred ingredient of a balanced diet. And that's not all, MILO has ACTIGEN-E, a mix of essential vitamins including B vitamin and minerals, which helps to optimize conditions for the release of energy from food.

As breakfast is a very important meal of the day, it is highly essential that our kids get a breakfast that contains most of  the important nutrients their body needs to sustain their energy throughout the day. My superheroes prefers a fuss-free breakfast, nothing too heavy or tiresome to finish off :) A hot beverage like MILO, cereals or bread suit them fine and these provide them with a good  20% - 25% of their daily energy intake. A good breakfast also boost brain power, to prepare them for any learning that takes place in the day. A high energy breakfast benefits the kids most.

PROTOMALT, the energy within MILO

Growing children need sufficient intake of carbohydrate in their daily meals. The malted barley in PROTOMALT contains complex carbohydrate, which is an excellent source of energy. PROTOMALT is also mixed with other nutritional ingredients like skim milk and cocoa.

My No 3 was ecstatic to actually see the malted barley used in his favourite beverage, MILO

And now they have the refill packs as well.

The malt in MILO brings out the great taste! Great tasting both Hot and Cold.
It keeps my superheroes' motor running throughout the day! Sarapan johan tidak lengkap tanpa MILO dengan PROTOMALT. Easy to prepare, easily available and yummilicious.

My No 2's favourite choice of beverage of breakfast at home AND when having breakfast out.
Delicious Iced Milo.... mmmmmm slurrrppp

My hubby in blue and white swears by MILO to energize him before every hockey game.

Remember kawan-kawan... you are your kids best role models. It is important that you set a good example by having the same breakfast they are having, so the chances of them cultivating the good habit of having a good and nutritious breakfast is enhanced. MINUM MILO ANDA JADI SIHAT DAN KUAT! Remenber that tagline? Well, for 60 years, MILO have been nourishing young Malaysians. Me, you and even our parents. My grandmother who is now in her 80's still have her breakfast with a mug of hot MILO, a tradition that we her grandchildren have followed. And now, my children too. It has proved to be an excellent breakfast beverage for years and years, and so I will keep the tradition alive in my family :) And now, what about you? I am sure you have your MILO stories too...

MILO with PROTOMALT, indeed the right start to your day.
Oh aye aye aye, we love our MILO =)

Take a look at the ENERGY TIP of the day.

SHM's Laksa Kuah Putih

Good Morning Folks! Hope you will have a good Sunday. What are you planning to do today? I will be bringing my kids to Galeri Kuala Lumpur, which is in Perpustakaan Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Raja, KL. Going to view the beautiful and awesome artworks by five of the very very best of Malaysian Contemporary Art artists. Pameran seni bertajuk "Kalam II: The Malay Icon 2010" ini menggarapkan keindahan seni kaligrafi Jawi dalam penterjemahan lukisan yang penuh artistik. Hey, why don't you bring your kids to the art show, sebagai enrichment dan juga meluaskan pengetahuan dan pemandangan anak-anak dalam bidang seni halus?

The collection of artworks memang mengkagumkan, hasil kerja lima pelukis tersohor di negara kita ni. Beautiful, beautiful hasil seni. Moreover, betul-betul kat sebelah Galeri KL ni ialah KL Children's Library. Pernah pergi tak?

Anyway, pameran seni "Kalam II: The Malay Icon 2010" ini berlangsung dari 21 Jun 2010 hingga 4 Jun 2010. Dari 11 pagi hingga 7 malam. Masuk adalah percuma :)

Oh ya, nak cerita pasal Laksa Kuah Putih kan? Hehe.

Bon Appetit!

Nanti kita sembang lagi ya. Cheers!

I Love Florals, but that does NOT make me a GRANNY! =)

Psssttt... I nak buat pengakuan ni.... I am peminat florals. Memang suka yang berbunga-bunga. Ada orang yang suka, tak kurang yang tak suka kan. I tergolong dalam yang suka tu la hehehehe.....  Reaksi setiap individu berlainan kalau pasal 'pesen' bunga-bunga ni'.. Antaranya.........

"Aloooo, so sweeeeeetttt"

"Eeeeee, serabut kepala hotaks"

"OMG, I sukeee semua yang florals, macam style English gitu kan?"

"Please la! Macam makcik2 nenek2 hokey!"

"So feminine and girly-wurly. Loike."

Haaaa, itu la antara komen-komen yang terdengar sayup-sayup... Well, whatever it is, whether you like or don't like kan, people in Malaysia memang suka motif bunga, termasuk lah I ni :) Cuba nengok kain baju kurung, memang banyak yang bonga-bonga kan? Not just on fabrics, kalau u all tengok and perati, ukiran kayu orang dulu2 pun banyak yang motifnya bunga2 or plants la kan. Kalau nengok pinggan-mangkuk lama2 pun sama. Flora dan fauna kan in abundance kat tanahair kita ni.

So baru2 ni, I telah pergi menyusur ke kedai mencari barangan florals yang baru, sebab saja lah kira nak naikkan seri my living room sikit kan. My aim nak cari benda2 yang cheapo sajalah... sebab budget pun tak berapa nak ada kan heheheheh... So feast your eyes on the small2 thing that I purchased, which are.... yes... u r right.......... all florals!

Pink and White flowers yang diarrange dalam watering can yang also berbunga.

A new Floral lampshade which was on best buy.

New Floral cushion covers.
I bought 10.

New Floral console table runner, to match with the cushion covers.
I bought 2 of 'em.

Another Floral lampshade bought at a remarkable discounted price.
Owwhhh, it's pink and so lovely!

And these, ok ok these aren't floral. Just couldn't resist them, too damn cute! And so cheap too.
Only RM 5 a pop =)

And all purchased at a value of not more than RM 150 semua sekali. Best kan? It was soooooo therapeutic, too. Now, I can relax with a smile in my floral fantasy of a living room. Ehhe! And psssttttt, that does not make me a granny ya ;-P

Get Clean! Lifebuoy Clean!

Heya Folks!!! How are you all coping today? It's back to school for all our kids yeah. Thank goodness this morning was a smooth process with the boys. I was kinda surprised jugak as my Adam usually never did take 'back to school day one' so easily, buy hey whaddyaknow, he was quite happy to be going off to school and I swore he was smiling as our car reached his school gate. Wah, hari ini hari bertuah buatku! Hahaha

Today's entry is about the LifeBuoy Let's Be Clean contest that my sons 'accidentally' participated in last week as we sedang berjalan-jalan di Sunway Pyramid. Sedang kami berjalan-jalan, termasuk lah dalam area LifeBuoy ni. And the adik promoter tu terus memancing my boys to participate. They sure did not waste any time la kan. Asal game aje, depa dah 'eksaited' terlebih.

This is the first game.

My son baling sampai 4 papan GERMS jatuh hikhik

Last, Spin & Win
Best ni dapat pusing2 benda alah tu ala-ala Roda Impian kan
;)

SO APAKAH HADIAHNYA?

Ta Daaaaaaaaa

3 sabun LifeBuoy dan sekotak Plaster LifeBuoy
Hahaha
Bolehlah tu, the boys seronok sakan dapat menang benda2 tu =)

When there's just no such thing as 'enough'

Yesterday had another mini gathering with my uni-mates. This time around at Intan H's home in Shah Alam. At first, I thought there was gonna be the two of us, me and another friend. But, it turned out soooo much better... FIVE of us came! I reached there at about 3pm, as the general idea was for a tea session. Tetapi, apabila set-set ni berjumpa, mula berborak dan bersembang dan mengilai (haha), tea session bersambung kepada dinner pula! Aduhai!

That's the thing kalau jumpa balik geng2 ni, there will never be such a thing as having 'enough' time. Tak cukup2 berborak, dan tak cukup2 makan makan makan. Menunya pengat pisang, laksa assam, bihun sup utara, kuih-muih, cendol, ayaq teh. Hamboi2, tak hengat masing2 dah toot toot toot ya... hahahahah... xpe, lepas ni dietttttt =)

Hmmnnnn.... dah macam nak tara kucha...tara kucha cha....
Nyeahahahaha

We had a really good time. And that got me thinking..... As we grow wiser (and older eheh) in life, we realize who are our 'real' friends. The ones that accept you for who you are, and terima you seadanya. The ones that still want to be friends and to keep the friendship alive, even after sooooo many many years have passed.... The ones that still make the effort to keep in touch, even when distance and time are an issue.

Maybe in years to come, there might be rough patches from time to time between us, but I do believe that IF each one of us make a conscious decision to keep our friendship alive, there will never be a time when there will be no more gatherings such as what we had yesterday.

Just remember the key to a harmonious sisterhood. Always take time to listen.Do not make judgements. Accept each other's differences and celebrate it. Be wary of the green-eyed monster. Do not give advice unless asked. Dan yang paling penting dalam apa-apa pun yang kita buat dalam dunia ini, mesti IKHLAS. Jernihkan hati.

Dan yang paling I tekankan dalam kehidupan seharian, walaupun sometimes with certain people adalah agak sukar......................... selalulah BERBAIK SANGKA.

Here's to good friends and a lifetime of positive frienship! Cheers!

Early is good, but............

Heya Folks!! Whaddyaknow, school hols is already nearing the end. So this weekend must be super highly charged and busy busy busy for mommies and daddies, as it's the last two days to bring out your kids for funtime activities outside home before curtain calls! Monday comes, and it's back to normal for the kids and parents and the traffic everywhere will be nightmarish again :)

As I memang tak bawa anak2 pegi bercuti ke mana-mana cuti sekolah ini, aktiviti kami hanyalah berkitar di kawasan rumah, rumah my mom, Giant, Tesco, Subang Parade dan Sunway Pyramid hehehe. And so I decided to bring them for a movie treat. Cerita apalagi, the much awaited Toy Story 3 lah. Being the 'kiasu' mommy that I am, I wanted to bring the kids on the first day of it's screening, roped in the hubby bubbly jugak and we went off dengan 'eksaited' nya ke One Utama. Went straight to the ticketing counter, dah bau dah buttered popcorn tak sabar-sabar nak ngunyah while watching the show kan. And GUESS WHAT?

I brought the kids to the cinema A DAY EARLY! I bawak dorang hari Rabu! Padahal first screening kan hari Khamis which was yesterday! Bwahahahahahah!

Appadaaa Mommy!

My hubby bubbly had a whale of a time la snickering at me. Huhh!! Nyampah! =) Well, jadiknya we brought the kids main-main kat Starship Galactica sajalah, as we know they would enjoy it there.

Moral of the story: Check la dulu screening time and date mommy oiiii

Ready for the inter-galactic experience.

The tiered play area. Thank goodness my three boys dah besar2, I don't have to accompany them going up anymore. My youngest tak ikut, if bawak dia, sure berpeluh I dibuatnya.

The small cafe cum party area cum waiting area
They have stuff like fries, nuggets, sandwiches, nasi lemak, ice-cream ..

There's even lockers for you to put in your stuff

Back from space, and now time for chow, hungggrrryyyy lehh

Okeh, bye bye for now. Nanti sambung cerita lagi k

At Seoul Garden We Meet...... And Eat Eat Eat!!

I always look forward for school holidays. U know why? Coz that's when we have our mini gathering. 'We' as in my bosom buddies from my uni years. It's a much anticipated event for us as every time we had the get together, as there would be a surprise. Surprise tu berupa kawan yang kita tak sangka datang but datang. Ye lah, not all of us live within the vicinity of KL/Selangor kan. So, memang happy dapat jumpa friends yang datang from other states or friends yang reside overseas and balik bercuti, or simply friends yang dah lama tak sua muka. And most importantly, we get to makan2 sambil bergelak ketawa sakan just like the good old days =)

We would make it a point to meet at different makan place everytime so that we could have a change of scene and of course taste a different kind of food. So yesterday, we had our chatter banter at Seoul Garden One Utama. Seoul Garden serves Korean Bulgogi and is 100% Halal. No pork or alcohol served. It is also a place where you pay RM30 and you could eat till you drop to the floor. Hahaha. Makan sampai lebam! =) And that's what we did! And we stayed there for FIVE solid hours, of course minus trips to the Ladies and Surau la kan. Ahaks.

I was so happy to meet Nisza, my housemate in Edinburgh!
*hugs and much love*
Kebetulan she 'balik kampung'
She is currently residing in Kelantan and 'balik kampung' di Wangsa Maju =)

Kay in green and Ina next to her.
I have known these peeps for 18 years!
Imagine that!
And we still get along so well together.
*So sayang them*

The one in black (Yong) antara 'muka-muka wajib' like me lah.
Muka yang wajib ada everytime gathering, hehheh :D

Mmmmmm.....Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom

The one in mustard (CikYah) is a great cook! Visit her blog k. I am forever hoping that she would update more often though! And the cutie wearing the sweet multicolored cheongsam is Anita. She holds a Master's Degree in Special Needs from the University of Florida. Isn't that something worth mentioning? I truly believe so.

You know why meeting your high school or college buddies Very Important? It makes you feel YOUNG again! Hehehe. And yes, as I told my friends again and again and again...... We keep each other young!! And of course, it feels so very comfortable talking to people who knows you way back then, right back to  the 'wonder years' when we girls turned into women =) The stories and histories we share might make a good novel perhaps? Hehheh.

Looking forward to the next school holidays loverlies! Till then, cheers!

Semi-D Cahaya SPK

Heya Folks! How's your Sunday so far yeah? Mine today pagi bawak budak2 breakfast kat McD as the heroes nak sarapan sausage mcmuffin pulak, hmmm layankan aje lah... After that, we went to my mom's house to pick her up sebab nak kena attend two weddings. One in SS2 PJ, and the other one kat Dewan Politeknik Shah Alam. Alhamdulillah the four heroes behaved in both events... but trick dia jangan dok sana lama-lama. Lepas makan, salam host pastu chow. Hehe.

About 2pm, dah siap balik from kenduri, balik rumah. Now lepaking at my house with my mom. Later, the kids have their swimming class. For now, lepak dulu :)

Anyway, nak story about yesterday. Lepas late breakfast kat Nyonya Kitchen Plaza Shah Alam, me, hubs and my No 3 gi meronda kat area Sunway Kayangan, Cahaya SPK and Alam Suria. Saja je jenguk-jenguk area-area ni, check out how's the development of these places. When we went to Cahaya SPK's sales gallery, the sales officer was very eager to show us the show units available for viewing. There were about 3 types of Semi-D's show units, and one bungalow unit. Kitorang pun okay ajelah, memag suka sangat tengok show houses :)

Cahaya SPK's Sales Gallery
Eynda dah pindah ke belum agaknya ya? :)

To get to the show units, we have to take the buggy.
Adam was so happy to ride on it, he said macam kat zoo...hahaha

The Semi-Detached Show Unit, one of it la.

No 3 likes this living room the best

Nowadays, many people like monochromes kan

One of the Family Hall

I like this family hall the best, simple and pleasing to my eyes

Mommy and No 3 lepak tengok Fifa World Cup, hahaha
Sorry ye anakku posing tak senonoh sikit

Mommy Debab hehe

Nature's Bounty

Verdict: Cahaya SPK ni best sebab menekankan unsur-unsur alam semulajadi. Usaha nak kekalkan elemen alam, the greeneries dan juga unsur air dengan pembinaan tasik yang sangat besar. If u are the kind yang suka anak-anak membesar dengan persekitaran nyaman dan tidak 'hectic' dan 'padat', this is a good choice. Macam ala-ala resort living juga. Bagi yang suka tinggal berdekatan dengan shopping malls dan vibe yang 'busy', mungkin tempat ini kurang sesuai. As for me, I suka area yang macam ni, tak kisahlah jauh sikit dari kedai etc etc, asalkan suasana sekeliling mendamaikan dan banyak yang menghijau. Tapi, lain orang lain citarasa, so terpulanglah..... Tepuk dada tanya selera kata orang kan :)

Gara2 'I Am Gorgeous'

Heya Folk! Good Morning All! Saturday morning without having to rush off for my No 2's taekwondo class is such a treat! And no Quran n Fardhu Ain class also for today, dah ganti on last Thursday dah. Wahhhhh, I feel like I have so much time in hand pulak hehe. The only thing is their swimming session, but that's like lambat lagi around 5-ish pm nanti.... Wooohoooo..... Can u believe I dok malas-malas sedap mengadap laptop I ni dari jam 8 pagi tadi hehheh. My bibik pulak hantar hot tea kat I ngan toast bread eheheheh.... Terima kasih lah ye :) Dia pun rasa seronok tengok I dapat relax2 sikit, kalau tak berkejar sana sini like lipas kudung kot every Saturday morning =)

Aaaaanyway, tadi rasa macam nak breakfast kat luar with the hubby bubbly but well...... dia dah ada nk breakfast dengan one of his client ke contractor ke staff ke tak tau lah... So, I pun apa lagi, ON my laptop and terlekat sampai sekarang hehe....

Oh, apa I melalut ni? Actually nak story that yesterday I went for lunch with my high-school friends kan. At first I thought only one person will turn up, but THREE of them came. So apalagi... syiookkkk la bersembang. We tried out the Ayam Bakar Wong Solo resto at Seksyen 7 Shah Alam tu, right smack at the back of the huuuuuuuge Gedung Jakel & Ariani. Sedaplah food dia, better than the Ayam Penyet kedai yg kat The Curve or Sunway Pyramid tu. Or maybe, the company I had yesterday yang buat food tu lagi sedap kot ek? haha

Yesterday, I wore my 'I Am Gorgeous' cotton shawl for the first time. Coz shawl tu agak colorful, so I rasa sesuai pakai masa I nak jumpa kawan2, coz masa tu my hati pun rasa cam warna-warni aje, berbunga2 kan =) hehe

Ni la 'I Am Gorgeous' cotton shawl tu.

So, my friends kata cantik shawl ni. Mmg I pun suka, dia ada lagi 3 colors but I pilih color yang ni coz ada pink pink and brown kan. So, last night, I uploaded gambar ni dalam my FB. And dapat respon yang AMAT menggalakkkan dari my friends semua! Sampaikan my friend from Kedah berkenan sgt and mintak tolong I beli 10 helai kat dia! I will pegi beli hari ni jugak, and then i akan post kat dia. I pun nanti nak beli lagilah... mmg comfy! Hah, ni yang syok ni nak pegi beli shawls lagi...walaupun beli untuk orang, it's enough to make me haaaaappy! haha

And memang sangat berbaloi as it's so cheap juga =)

Yayyyy!! I love my 'I Am Gorgeous' cotton shawl. Yep, mmg the words 'I Am Gorgeous' tu is printed on the shawl. So, bila pakai tu, ada la aura gorgeous meresap dalam diri. Alah, orang kata perasan pun takpe. As long as we feel happy and positive kan babes! nyeahaha

Ok, tata for now all you GORGEOUS readers. Have a nice Saturday ya!! Love ya!

Two Teenagers Laughin' By The Beach

Like This?

Yep, two teenagers laughin' by the beach. I am going for lunch with an old and dear high-school friend shortly. And yes, the picture above reminds me of us when we were teenagers..... two friends laughin' by the beach, many many times this image of us played in my mind...

Betullll..... we laughed together by the beach numerous times, oh joyous occasions those were! Why by the beach, u might ask? Because........ our boarding school was right smack next to the beach in Terengganu. And from our room balcony, the lure of the ocean..... the sea, beckoned. And when ships passed yonder with twinkling lights far far in the sea at night, two teenaged girls sat giggling and laughing from their room balcony.....

Owhhh...so looking forward to lunch later =)

Cutie Green Froggy Gets A Trophy

One of the enjoyable things that I experience as a mother is that I get to see my children's progress and development, be it physically, mentally and yes even spiritually. I savour and cherish the moments when they first utter the word Mommy. I smile when I remember them taking their first step. I chuckled when I saw the look on their faces when they lost their first tooth. Their first day experience being a school boy brought joy to my heart. I love to go to every school plays/concerts/presentation/celebration. I go to every open day their school organized. I find my children fascinating! Fascinating to me, that is. I always feel that the greatest achievement I acquired in this life are undoubtly my children.

And so I am sooooo happy to watch my No 3 in action on his school's Sports Day a couple of weeks ago. My No 3 is an eczema sufferer. Usually sports made him sweat and sweat made his skin itch so bad. Itching leads to scratching which leads to cracks in the skin...u get the picture right? But how are we to stop a child from physical activites which are vital for their overall development? It would be unwise to ban him from any sports events, even if he gets hot, itchy and bothered after. I think he has learnt how far he could go without it being unbearable I think. And from these pictures below, u know that he had fun at the sports meet :)

Sports day was held at Shah Alam's Polytechnic Sports Centre. We arrived there nice and early, and No 3 was greeted lovingly by his class teacher, Ms. Nisa. She has such a loving and caring nature, and No 3 enjoys her classes very much.

While waiting for the event to start, what better way to while the time than having breakfast at a nice picnic spot under the shady trees? It was really rather a cool morning and No 1 and No 2 were able to eat comfortably on the marble benches. There was a stall selling all kinds of breakfast goodie, much to my delight! Nasi Lemak, Mee/MeeHoon Goreng, all kinds of kuih-muih and not forgetting hot teh tarik, coffee, soda drinks and 'air kotak'. We ate and chatted and relaxed for a good 30 minutes there. At that time, No 3 was already in the hall with his teachers and friends.

He was the first one to arrive from his class. They even had to start the event nearly an hour late, due to some people who obviously had no understanding of the importance of punctuality. Sighhh. Why is it that some people are so intent to always be 'fashionably late'. Memang mengong arr, kan? I mean, come on la, have the courtesy to stick to the time stated, common courtesy la kan, not nice la right when soooo many people have to wait for your so-called 'grand entrance'! Really menyakitkan hati. There's even a name for it, 'Janji Melayu' or 'Malaysian Time'. Errrrkkkkkk

This was the opening act. The senior kids did aerodance to a medley of heart thumpin, feet stompin' highly energizing music! They were greeeeeeaaaaattt! It got the whole hall swaying by its high powered energy. Rasa macam nak join sekali lah kat bawah tuh...hehehe... After the opening act, the Sukaneka started. So many types of races took place. The teachers were highly creative, with cute costumes and props used. Too many pics la, cannot upload for fear of a too long entry nanti :)

What's important was that my No 3 had a terrific time and while having fun, also learnt about co-operation, team-spirit and sportsmanship. Bravo!

Oh, and what about the cutie green froggy? Hehe, No 3 took part in a race where he had to leap-frog with his team-mates. All of them wore green and had on green froggy masks with huge froggy eyes! Major cuteness!

OF LOVE. OF LIFE. OF US
