3 Very Comfy Shoes

Heya Peeps! Hope you are enjoying the last few days before the new year. Many are already on holidays now. Including my SIL & family who are now enjoying themselves in Gold Coast! Seronoknya, I pun now tengah aim nak pegi sana next year lah...hehe (kalau ada rejeki ler, x tau lagi)

Well, sepatutnya I am also on my 'honeymoon' triplah sekarang kalau mengikut plan asalnya kan. But well, kita hanya merancang right. Mr Ako fell sick, like really sick sampai tak larat nak bangun for 20 hours! And ALL my boys fell sick too! Demam, batuk, selsema.... huhuhuhuhu.... so the trip was CANCELLED!

Ok ok, I bagitau....... we planned to go to Singapore. But sigh..............

Nak menjadikan the story lebih tragis lagi.... I pulak telah terkena jangkitan kuman dr mana ntah, so that ada bintat2 kat area tepi mata kanan I antara mata ngan batang hidung. Kat kening sebelah kanan ni pun ada. Horror sangat I rasa, pegi jumpa doctor mengadu beria-ia...hehehe... doctor bagi antibiotic and ubat sapu. Bila sapu the cream, my goodness... rasa menyengat and gatal ok! huk huk huk! Doktor kata dalam masa 5-6 hari should be back to normal. Lamanyaaaaaa....

I know I know, banyak plak I complain tapi tak sangka la pulak jadik cenggini kan. My hubby said it's a sign that after all the travelling we have done for the past month, we should be relaxing AT HOME to usher in the New Year. Aye Aye Captain! Bagus jugak, kalau travel keadaan tak selesa camni sure tak best kan.

Aaaaaaanyway, dalam tempoh kesakitan ini... tadi saya sempat berjenjalan di mall. Dan merembat 3 pasang kasut. Bukan kasut fancy tapi yang comfy for everyday wear. I ni kan tak gi opis. Keje I gi mari gi mari hantar amik anak2 sekolah and gi mari Giant Tesco je... hehe... so ni lah kat bawah kasut keje I for the new school year. Eh heh, bebudak ada kasut sekolah baru so mommy pun ada gak kan...

Ada diskaun yg bagus. Al-maklumlah YES kan ;p

That day kan I ada masuk contest tau, yang Honeylanz buat kat blog dia. Teka jumlah duit yang ada dalam labu sayong... Haaaaa.... I la pemenang bertuah contest tu sebab I dapat teka paling tepat. I was so happy because this is the first time ever I won in a contest by rakan blogger =) Teruja? Sudah pasti! Melompat kegembiraan seperti terkena loteri? Sudah tentu! Eh tapi loteri harammmmm, yg ni halal lagi suci.. hehe

Last week lagi Honeylanz dah poslajukan kepada daku tapi the day sampai tu, I was not home. Masa tu kan busy coz my brother's wife gave birth kan. I was running around helping out. Right after that, I went off to Terengganu for my brother in law's wedding. Yesterday was tiring also as ALL my boys fell sick, including hubby! He was flat out! Jarang dia menyerah kalah but yesterday memang dia tak boleh tahan dah. The doctor prescribed him with nearly a dozen different types of medication! I was worried!

So jadiknya, hari ni lah I pegi claim my poslaju. Tak sabar punya pasal, I went to Glenmarie to collect it myself. The box was wrapped in a pretty wrapper full of colourful stars! But the Poslaju ppl handled it roughly so the box dah a bit kemek..huk huk.. But takpe, coz barang dalam tu yg penting kan...

It's a very sweet and pretty bakul compartment with ribbons and lace and roses by Lovely Lace.

I Got The Invite!

Owh I got the invitation for the Nuffnang Friso Gold Family Day Out. I sent in a submission last two weeks I think. Read here. It's for 2 adults and 2 children... Hmmnnn, I guess I have to choose the youngest two lah kalau macam tu. Furthermore, the eldest two dah banyak kali sangat main kat Kizsports, MegaKidz etc tu. The event would be on;

Date : 2 January 2010
Time : 10am till 2pm
Venue : Kizsports & Gym, 1 Utama (Old Wing)

OOppssiiee, there's just a little problem here. My second son has got Orientation Day for Std 1 on the same day from 8.30 am till 12.30 pm! So how am I going to manage this? What usually happens during orientation day ni ye? Does it really end at 12.30? Boleh sesapa tolong I? Although my first son dah nak masuk Year 3 tapi dia bukan govt school. Jadiknya I don't know what to expect this Saturday.

Huhuhuhu, but I really wanna go to that Friso event lah... hehe... first time dapat invite dari Nuffie ;) Maybe I can manage to go to both? School first and then Friso event after that. Urgh! Dunnolah. It said in the invite;

Purple Wedding…. oh plus a little PINK of coz

 

The Majlis Sambut Menantu was held on Christmas day @ my In-Law’s place in Dungun, Terengganu. We were blessed with a clear and breezy day but a slight drizzle occured exactly when the pengantin arrived after Friday prayers :) But it was only a little drizzle which only lasted not more than half an hour so it was allright. What’s a December wedding in Terengganu without a little rain kan?

The theme was furfle karer / purple so it was purple this and purple that and all of us were clad in varying tones of purple BUT…………the pengantin wore PINK! It was a nice touch though, so they stood out la kan from a sea of purple.

That’s me with my MIL. She’s very petite, all her children tower over her. Oh and a pic of me and my FIL. He’s TALL, so that’s why I insisted on a pic of me standing and he sitting. If not, I would look so ketot la kan. Like my baju? He he, that’s batik sutera Terengganu. Cheh, promo la sikit batik Terengganu kan. I beli kat Pasar Payang. Kalau gi sana, mabuk kepayang le jawabnyer.

This one over here is my hubby’s younger sister. She and her husband runs a pharmacy in Kemaman. That’s a wedding guest book she’s holding. The guests could write in some kata2 manis/nasihat la for the pengantin and sign in their names. This concept is quite unusual for a Malay wedding kan, but common in western style weddings. In my opinion, it’s nice so that we can keep it forever as a momento from our wedding day. Sitting on the swing is my youngest sis and my eldest son. Notice the hot pink paint on the house? My FIL chose the colour and painted it himself! Cool lah he chose hot pink!

 

                                    

On the right are wedding favors, for the guests of course, purple naturally in accordance to the furfle theme. Next is a pic of my youngest and his cousin sleeping soundly in the midst of the fanfare and festivity :) OOwwwwhhhhh, I envy them la, tido sedap atas tilam and bantal kekabu… Bliss

 

Here, my biras and me. We were both the payung-bearers of the day. She is a solicitor, practising in Kemaman. Her son la yang tidur dalam gambar with my youngest tadi tu :) Next is a pic of us tengah tunggu pasangan mempelai sampai. Mommy pegang payung, the boys pegang bunga manggar okeh =)

 

Yeayyyyyy, they are finally here!!! Gawd, me the si katik had to payungkan my BIL who is nearly 6 feet tall so Help Me!!! Next pic of my MIL welcoming the new family…

Pink Pengantin! Aloooo, ni lah yang orang maksudkan Bagai Pinang Dibelah Dua, sama padan kan… tapi baju dorang pakai tu cantik kan?? Cepat cakap cantik sebab I yang pilihkan.hahaha. Wedding dress ni dijahit sendiri oleh bonda pengantin perempuan tau, veil tu pun sama. Ha, tudung glamer tu the bride made herself. Cantik kan, lepas ni nak tanya dia ada ambik tempahan tak? kikiki. Doktor pandai jahit tudung, boleh bukak side business ;p

Majlis Menyambut Menantu went well without any glitches. The food catered was excellent as well. And psssttttt, sweet kan make-up pengantin tu? By RedGlow tau. You all pernah kan baca pasal RedGlow kat blog RedMummy? Haaa, this one done by Siti from their branch di Dungun :)

Selesai sudah kerja kahwin kedua-dua pihak. Alhamdulillah. Wedding sapa lak lepas ni hmmnnnn???

Cone Pizza, The Strand KD

Pizza Ice-Cream my boys call it :) Tastewise, well biasa aje. The shape is the selling point. About 6 inches long. Makan satu dah rasa kenyang to me. Price, about RM10 per cone. Can choose from a variety of toppings. Nothing out of the ordinary though.

They have other types of food other than pizza. We ordered a salad and a pasta dish.

Salad with Italian dressing. Errrmm, nothing special as the main attraction is the Cone Pizza.

The pasta. The serving is really quite small.

Interior is pleasant enough though. Service, hmmnn so-so but they were very eager to serve :)

At Taman Sri Manis, where it continued...

After the Akad Nikah ceremony @ the Al-Guffran Mosque, our rombongan headed to the place where my In-Laws were staying called the Selesa Homestay. We had a chance to chit-chat lagi while waiting to depart for the kenduri at the bride's home which took place after Zohor prayers.

Passing thru Kerteh, on the way back to Kay Ell. Bought enough kerpok T'ganu to last at least 3 months. Hehe. Will b back home soon. Missing my bed and my kitchen.

Heya folks!!!! So sorry been absent from bloghosphere for 3 days. Truth is, honestly busy banget because my brother just got a baby girl 3 days ago :) so I was going around helping out what I could. Bersih and tanam uri. Hospital visits, bringing home baby and etc etc. Supposed to depart to T'ganu yesterday but tak dapat, jadi today baru pegi. SIL and baby pun nak berpantang di Kuantan, so semua depart hari ni lah. Phewww!!!!

Esok dah kenduri di Dungun pula, belah pengantin lelaki (my hubby's younger bro). Will be there till Sunday rasanya. So that' my story mory why I was off blogging. Miss u all, will b back soon ok. Muahssss.... Hehe

At Al-Guffran...Where It Happened

The Akad Nikah ceremony took place at Masjid Al-Guffran, Alor Setar. It was a sweet affair, the union of two souls with blessings from both sides of the family. Now begins a new chapter for the bride and bridegroom. May both of you find happiness and love always. Take care and respect one another, never take each other for granted. Water your love and keep it blooming with kindness, co-operation, understanding and continuous support in one another's endeavors in life.
